Dear friends and readers,
Please indulge another notice. In the midst of a week jammed with significant events echoing the civil rights era, I will be a guest tomorrow night (Oct. 26) on The Colbert Report, which airs on Comedy Central at 11:30 PM (ET).
The subject will be "The Cartel,", the short original E-Book that has morphed from my Atlantic magazine article on NCAA college sports. My children warn that Colbert will confound me with his wit and satire. I'll try to survive, because I think there are serious issues of education and justice beneath the colorful madness of sports fans.
